There is nothing fussy about this recipe yet its flavour profile is bold and complex. The carrot and ginger make perfect melody in this spicy sweet refreshing smoothie. Serve at any summer back yard party and you all you guests will be impressed. Plus with the health benefits of Vitamin A from carrots, detoxifying and digestion aiding extracts from ginger as well as the protein and omega rich content from hemp seeds, this recipe can't possible get any healthier.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup carrot juice
  • 1 tablespoon NATERA™ Natural Hemp Protein Powder
  • 1 tablespoon NATERA™ Hemp Seeds
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 3 to 4 ice cubes
  • 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt (optional)
  • Splash of lime (optional)

Preparation

Add to a blender and blend until smooth.

Tips

Freeze this blend into a popsicle form for an amazing icy treat in the summer.

Leave out the ice cubes to make it less of a smoothie and more of a juice.

Substitute fresh raw carrots instead of carrot juice for a thicker consistency.
